You post, falatu reads. Every minute it checks your latest posts and looks for a request to comment in the caption (Comment GUIDE, type "cinema"). When it finds one, it gets the automation ready.
What happens next depends on Settings → Automation defaults → New posts:
| Option | What happens |
|---|---|
| Off | Nothing. You create automations by hand. |
| Suggest (default) | The post shows up in Posts and on Home as Suggested, with the word and the link (if it found one). You check it and tap Activate. |
| Turn on automatically | If the post is from the last 6 hours and falatu finds the word and the link, the automation switches itself on. |
Turn on automatically, in detail
- The new automation copies your defaults (ask to follow, style, buttons).
- The link comes from the caption, from another automation with the same word, from
yoursite.com/WORDor from your bio. See Post with no link. - No link, no switching on: the post becomes an alert in Needs you ("New reel with no link: paste the link to turn it on"). For the next 6 hours, falatu keeps looking for the link on your site.
- Only comments made after the automation switched on get the DM.
Caption not detected?
falatu only recognizes the word in capitals or in quotes, after a commenting verb (comment, type, comenta, comente, escreve, digita, escribe…). "Comment below" or "comenta aqui" don't become suggestions. In that case, open the post and create the automation by hand.
