Replying "Sent!" word for word on 300 comments looks like a robot (because it is). falatu picks short lines at random and never repeats any of your account's last 50 replies.
The styles
In Settings → Automation defaults → Reply style (or per automation, under Public reply):
| Style | Vibe |
|---|---|
| Short and friendly (default) | "sent 📩", "in your dm 🙌" |
| Direct | Short and useful, straight to the point. |
| Playful | Looser, with a bit of fun. |
| Write my own | Only the lines you write, one per line. |
falatu's lines are short, lowercase, with one emoji at most and never a question (a question invites a reply, and a reply turns into a conversation the robot shouldn't start). Under Emoji you pick none or 1 per message.
A reply for every situation
falatu doesn't answer everything the same way:
- Asked for the link: a line saying it went to their DMs.
- Near-miss word: kindly shows the right word, and sends the DM anyway.
- Already got it: "already sent 📩", no new DM.
- Compliment ("this is amazing", 👏👏): a short thank-you, if Thank compliments publicly is on. Emoji-only gets emoji back.
- Comment older than 7 days: Instagram won't allow a DM about it anymore, so the public reply carries the link.
Questions, complaints and long messages don't get an automatic reply. They go to Needs you.
Reply publicly or not
You can turn off the public reply (Reply to the comment publicly). The DM goes out just the same. We recommend leaving it on: the reply shows latecomers that the post works, and reminds the person to check their DMs.
Writing your own
Pick Write my own and put one reply per line. The more lines, the better: with only a few, the no-repeat rule runs out sooner and the comment goes to Needs you instead of getting a repeated line.
