A summary of our Privacy policy, in plain language. If in doubt, the policy is what counts.
What we keep
About you (the customer): your name, email and login; the connected Instagram account, with its access stored encrypted; your settings and automations.
About people who interact with you: their Instagram ID and handle, the text of their comments and messages, what falatu replied, whether they follow you, tags and notes. Once they DM you or tap a button, also their name, photo (a copy, refreshed every week), follower count and whether they're verified.
We don't sell data, we don't use your customers' conversations for advertising, and we only read what Instagram sends through the official API.
For how long
| What | How long |
|---|---|
| Your account | For as long as it exists. Once you close it, we delete it within 30 days. |
| Contacts and conversations | For as long as you use falatu. Disconnect the Instagram account and they're deleted. |
| Raw Instagram events | 30 days. |
| Backups | Expire after 30 days. |
AI
falatu uses AI (Claude, by Anthropic) only when you tap Suggest a reply in Needs you. The conversation text is sent to generate the draft, and nothing goes out without your click. Automatic replies (the DM with the link, the public replies) don't use AI.
Who helps us
Hosting and database (Vercel, Neon), Instagram itself (Meta), email (Brevo), login with Google, AI (Anthropic) and, once there's billing, payments (Stripe and EBANX). The full list is in the Privacy policy.
How to delete
- One account's contacts and conversations: Settings → Accounts → Disconnect deletes everything from that Instagram account.
- Your whole account: write to hello@falatu.ai from the account's email. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email.
- You commented on a profile that uses falatu and want to be deleted: see Data deletion.
- Requests for access, correction or a copy (your rights under the LGPD, Brazil's data protection law): hello@falatu.ai. We reply within 15 days.
Language: falatu picks the site's language from your country and your browser language, and remembers if you change it in the PT · EN · ES switcher (in a cookie, for one year).
